Language Keyboard Questions

Which keyboard layouts can I test here?

This category includes dedicated testers for Arabic, Russian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, German, and Korean layouts. The All Language Keyboards page lets you compare and explore every available layout in one place.

Do I need to change my system language to test a layout?

No. Each tester displays the on-screen layout for its language, so you can check which physical key maps to which character without changing your operating system settings. To actually type in that language, you would still add the layout in your OS.

What if my language is not listed?

Keys are detected by their physical position, so you can still use the main Keyboard Tester to verify that every key on your keyboard registers. The language testers simply add native key labels for the supported layouts.

Are the language keyboard testers free?

Yes. All language keyboard testers are free browser tools that work with wired, wireless, and laptop keyboards, with no download or signup required.
