A WhatsApp link generator creates a wa.me click-to-chat link from a phone number and an optional prefilled message. Anyone who clicks the link starts a WhatsApp chat with that number instantly, without saving the contact first.
How do I format the phone number?
Use the full international format: country code followed by the number, for example 15551234567 for a US number. The generator strips spaces, dashes, and plus signs automatically, so only the digits end up in the link.
Can I prefill a message in the link?
Yes. Add an optional message and the generator encodes it into the link, so the chat opens with your text already typed and the sender only has to press send.
Do recipients need my number saved to use the link?
No. The wa.me link opens the chat directly in WhatsApp or WhatsApp Web, which is exactly why these links work well in bios, emails, and websites.
Is the WhatsApp link generator free and private?
Yes. The WhatsApp link generator is free and builds the link in your browser - the phone number and message are not sent to our server, and no signup is needed.
